“Wow, nice of you to join us,” Jill snapped. “Getting a little lonely back there?” She had no qualms about letting Gray know what she thought of his reluctance. She turned and snubbed him for an instant, then it was back to business. While she stared at the skylight, the plan solidified further. “Tanjuu, I think that's a good idea. I think if shit gets too hot down here you have the best chances of being able to climb up fast. I want D on the roof, he's got the sharpest eyes.” She left unspoken the fact that she also thought that would be the safest spot.
Then Jill paused, thinking again. “I'll take the inside,” she proclaimed slowly and deliberately. The most dangerous position. It was a calculated risk. She still didn't trust these guys entirely. Taking the inside would raise her esteem in their eyes and serve as a subtle chastisement to Gray. If they were going to succeed at all, they needed to all be on the same page. She looked at Setsuna, “What do you think?”

Gazing back at the group, Tanjuu noticed the arrival of Gray on the scene and his chastising by Jill. Well, at least he gives enough of a crap to take an interest in current affairs.
During his berating of Gray, Jill had taken the initative to stay down while Donovan would go up to the roof due to having sharp eyes (Or something similar to that). At least it seemed she could handle herself, a good companion for what may hide inside.
Jill then asked Burnt what he thought on this matter, Tanjuu would wait for the reply, then he'd get into the action.

The youth nodded, "Yes, sounds good." He looked at the others, ignoring Grey for the moment. He rolled his neck, holding out the second sub-maching gun to Jill. "You'll probably need this more than me." He turned then, scrambling up onto the roof. He looked down into the skylight, it was dark, but not so bad he couldn't see. He looked back over the edge, "Hey, D, you want a hand up?" It was a silly question, D probably could scale a sheer brick wall.
He opened the duffle bag and took out the large grey and black box. Pale fingers withdrew a large copper shelled round, its red tip glistened in the sun. Loading five of the large rounds into a clip, then repeating the action with his second clip, he prepared to fight. Perhaps Donovon could load the clips for him while he fired.

"Tch."
Gray averted his eyes from Jill and looked back down the hill to the car before letting his eyes drift toward the taller buildings they had just left. He still saw the darkness on top of the office building he had dubbed "home" throbbing in the fading light, silhouetted against the orange glow of the flames.
He listened to the plan the others were coming up with and shook his head, raising his hand, "Guys, that won't work. It would be stupid for us to split up, you all know that as well as I do." He looked up to them, his mint eyes filled with obvious concern, "The worst thing in the world right now would be for one of us to die."
He tapped his bat against his boot and looked down. He didn't like appearing soft. After a moment he looked up again to survey their reactions to his comment.

Wait, when the hell did this guy grow a sense of concern?
So apparently Gray had a problem with the idea, despite the fact that they split apart while on the rooftop less than a few hours ago.
"I am perfectly well aware of the tired old cliché Mr Gray. The group splits up and get picked off by the zombies. But the longer the time spent out here, the longer the time that whoever's in there can prepare themselves. Now then, I'm going up to get this underway. If everyone else is ready, I'll go get the door.
Finished with his point of view, Tanjuu turned on his heel and walked to the door.

Jill said derisively, “Yeah, I don't think we really have a choice. It's dark out here, we're going to start attracting attention if we're out here much longer. We could sleep in the car, but first cannibal comes along and we're dog food.”
“Unless someone has a better idea, I'm ready.” She started up the fire escape after Donny, then pulled herself hand over hand up the drainpipe. She looked down at them while she waited for Gray to decide to join in, or not.
“If you're in, get your ass up here so we can make some noise.”

A dirty hand brushed aside a lock of hair. She had stayed hidden as the car had pulled up and as several people piled out. She didn’t know how they might react to her. She nearly looked like an infected herself; bloodied, dirty, torn clothes. She was a mess. Marie crept around her tree, hustling up to peek over the car’s hood. It seemed like they were making some sort of plan. Slowly she stood, her voice sounding weird after not speaking for so long, “Wa- Wait!” The young girl made a few hesitant steps forward, a blood stained saber clenched in her hand. Maybe if she helped them with their plan, they might let her stay.

( Not a bad intro, Seravee. Welcome to RZ. )
Setsuna turned at the fain call, his eyes picking out the shape of a younger girl. He frowned, where had she come from? He turned, loaded the rifle and lined up the sights on her face. “Where did she come from?” His words were directed to anyone that could hear him. Smoothly his hand wracked the bold on his rifle, letting it click ominously as the round was chambered.
He shot a glance at Grey, one of the two still on the ground, “You wanna check her for bites? I got you covered.” Even though he wasn’t a fan of Grey’s attitude, he wasn’t going to let that cause prejudice in his actions. Grey was a survivor, someone with equal right to live. Well, equal until you did something mess up, big time that was.
His attention turned back to the ragged girl. She looked bad, like really bad. Stood momentarily, moving to rest the bi-pod of the rifle on the raised lip of the roof, “Target sighted, Grey.” He yelled at the girl, “Don’t move!” If she got scared, that was too bad. The safety of this group came before the feelings of a newcomer.

((Please stop spelling Gray wrong.))
Gray was tired of blatant ignorance. He wasn't going to do as Satsuna said either. Instead he grabbed the barrel of the gun he held and pointed it toward the sky. His gazed traced across those in his group, his eyes serious, "Will you all stop being fucking retarded and listen to me?"
He knew it probably wouldn't work. He hated being young. He was smarter than the rest of them put together. There's mob mentality for you. His blazing eyes rested on Setsuna and spit in the man's face, "Pointing a gun at a survivor! What the fuck is wrong with you! The only ones that can infect are Vermin and it's instantaneous when they do! I've seen it happen." With that he shoved the barrel of the man's gun and began to hop down the hill carefully toward the new comer girl.
"Hey." He offered as he got close. He clenched his bat tightly, just in case.

[[Hola Sera! Welcome!!! ]] [[Disclaimer: Sorry in advance to make this so dark but there's a reason Jill's mistrustful of strangers]] Jill gawked, aghast, as Gray deserted them and carelessly ran to the stranger. Are you fucking KIDDING me? It was different, when she had met the others. They were all disheveled from battle, true, but nothing like this bedraggled, bloodstained waif creeping slowly toward them. She could be bitten in God knows how many places. Before Dallas, in Abilene, she and Donovan had had another chance encounter with a lonely stranger coming up a dark hill. Jill's memories, the ones she had tried to forget, washed over her. There was motion in the distance. And it wasn't the strange, lurking movement of an infected, or the jerky bounds of a special. It was the smooth rolling motion of a human stride.
“Hey!” She yelled and waved her hands, Donny joining his higher-pitched voice to hers. “Hey!!! Over here! We're not infected!” The shadowy figure walking toward them grew larger, until it took the shape of a man.
When he was only a few feet away the man reached out and grabbed her by the arm and the throat. He growled wordlessly, then he pressed his filthy lips against hers. Jill saw red. With her free arm, she groped for her pistol. It was just out of reach on the other side of her body. With a painful wrench she snatched it, and with all her might rammed the butt of the gun into the stranger's head, shoving her heel into his instep at the same time. Freedom!
As Jill grabbed Donny and prepared to take off running, the strange man sank to his knees, a strange keening cry escaping his lungs. His hands searched blindly for the gun that had slipped out of her hand. Jill ran back toward him, hoping to kick the Beretta away before he found it, but she was too late. As his searching grasp found the weapon, she screamed and shoved Donny behind her. She needn't have worried, though. The man put the gun to his own head. Then, a single shot went off in the night.
They left him for the cannibals. There was nothing else they could do.No, the man in Abilene hadn't been infected, but he had been insane. And now yet another variable had been thrown into the equation. Like they needed another variable, what with Gray's unpredictable behavior and sullen refusal to go along with majority rule. When Gray was almost to the girl, Jill slowly raised her weapon, and made certain that the two of them were in her sights. She felt Setsuna let out a breath beside her, and Donny clung harder to her leg, something he hadn't done since he was very small. Then she slowly increased the pressure on the trigger until it was just a hair's width away from the firing point. Make no mistake about it...She would shoot if she had to.

( My bad. Gray it is. )
"Jesus Christ, Gray! I nearly pulled the damn trigger." He shook his head, keeping the rifle at the ready. Had he not slackened his grip on the trigger the new girl's brains would have been all over the street. He hissed at Jill, "What the hell has gotten into him?" Anger writhed through his mind. He knew he had to control it, less it cloud his judgement.
He shook his head, peering through the scope at the bedraggled wench. Poor girl, she looked absolutely wretched, and probably felt worse, if she wasn't bitten that was. He took a peek over at Jill, an eyebrow perking as he saw her state of readiness. "Jill, I don't.. Relax your grip a bit. You don't want to drop 'em both on accident do you?" Then again, she might.

She watched at the man, Gray, or something like that, approached. What his intentions were, she didn't know, good or bad, it was best to let him know she was armed. "Stop where you are." Her voice was weak, and a bit horse. "Don't come any closer." She stood shoulders turned 90 degrees from him, arm out and saber ready. Her eyes traveled to each of the people opposing her. The Lady, or rather, the mother. She had a machine gun. The first Japanese man, the one with the big rifle. The second one was kinda farther off, he didn't look to dangerous. And well, there was this Gray character. The others seemed to be giving him the stink eye.

Pivoting and noticing the scene behind him, Tanjuu had but one thing to say.
"Oh you have to got be yanking my chain..."
Of all the asanine things possible, Gray runs up to a random, blood covered chick and starts to talk to her. Jesus Joseph and Mary, what in the friggen' hell.
It's not my place to act as an enforcer, but goddess damn it this kid needs to get a fucking clue!
Dashing after the teen, Tanjuu had to tell Gray what he thought. And what he was certain that everyone else was thinking. If this meant temporaily abandoning the lucid and calmed nature he'd adopted over the past few hours, then so be it. Making it down, he yanked Gray away from the newcomer and began to shout at him.
"You fuckbrained imbecile! We get the fact she's not infected, what we are worried about is the friggen' blood encrusted sword she's cavorting about with! For all we know now she could be a psychopathic bitchqueen from hell! Now get a grip, quit thinking you're the only one with enough brains to decide what we can and can't do and start using that worthless lump of a fucking brain for once!"
Tanjuu turned back up towards the Planetarium, his demeanor back in one piece and began to run to the doors with his Thompson in hand. If anyone now wished to speak with the newcomer, this would be the time. As soon as that door was opened, introduction time would be over.

Setsuna and Jill he could ignore, but not this ass hole. Gray turned and listened to what the man had to say, considered it and then chased after him. Once Tanjuu stopped at the top of the hill Gray approached him and grabbed him by the collar of his suit. He was growing tired of this shit and especially tired of this atmosphere.
"I ought to splatter your motherfucking brains all over the side of this stupid building. You're a waste of time, a waste of space, a waist of a human life." He turned and let his gaze trace his party yet again, "Fuck. All of you are. You're stupid. Hopelessly stupid. All you motherfuckers care about is fighting and looking like god-damned heroes. That's not what this is about, dipshits. The game is survival. Not helping others, not 'kicking zombie ass'. The thing we need to focus on is LIVING. We need to band up with as many people as we can."
He shoved Tanjuu away and shirked the weight of his bat, "I can take care of myself as long as you mofos stay the fuck out of my way. That bit of trouble I got in on the roof was YOUR fault, Tanjuu, had you not fucking snuck up on me I wouldn't have tried to hit you and drop my bat. I was doing perfectly fine until you mother-lickers showed up and burned my god damned house down and obliterated my supplies. I'm fucking tired of trying to negotiate with your asses. I'm going to stick around because I think there's strength in numbers, but don't think I am going to follow you around on your idiotic 'plans'. You can dive into that building. You can get your asses eaten alive. No thanks on my part."
He turned and side skipped down the hill back toward the girl, raising his bat at her, "Put the sword away you fuck head. Do you want help? You look a god-damned mess." His eyes were full of fury as he spoke, "Oh and try anything and I'll smash your pretty little face in."

Donovan's jaw dropped. That was some freaky shit. Only after Tanjuu ran to Gray did his mom lower her machine gun. He had never seen that cold, calculating look on her face before, and it scared the piss out of him to think that his mom was this steely-eyed potential killer.
Jill shimmied back down the drainpipe, landing gracefully like a cat, and vaulted over the side of the fire escape. Donny wordlessly followed, hopping into her arms and letting himself be placed on the ground as if he were very small again. Since the others were gathering around the newcomer, he figured they might as well join them. She didn't look too bad, actually. Sort of like Rogue, if Wolverine had slapped her around a bit.
He could practically see the sparks flying. Tanjuu had the same icy glare as his mom, and he had no doubt that either of them would finish them all off without a second glance. That was when the shit hit the fan. No, screw that. It was like a sewer combined with a fucking wind tunnel.
