Ooh you little cockbite. Tanjuu was indeed pissed off at the kid, and why wouldn't he be? 'Gray' had just mocked the name given by his late parents, an act that was pretty offensive in it's own way but the whole 'reminder of dead parents' thing was an added sting to the insult. He admitted that his introduction was a little 'Hollywood' but that gave the scrap-sucking twat no justification on such an account. Anger flooded through him and stifled into his right arm, where it would stay for the time being. 'There's a time and a place for everything,' another well-quoted piece of advice from the Don.
For the moment he would remain as calm as assertedly possible, at least until Gray got any downright moronic ideas in that ballsack of a brain. In which case, the first strike would be by Tanjuu. He ended his angry mental rant with the phrase, 'The name's in Japanese you dipshit. Look up the meaning sometime.'
Focusing now on the youth self-reffered to as Donovan, the one who attempted what Tanjuu took to be a attempt at becoming serious. For some reason, this wasn't as strange as it could have been taken, rather amusing in itself. And the kid even asked for one of his cigars for what may simply be an attempt to piss off his mother! Humoring him, Tanjuu reached into his pocket and pulled out a second cigar and tossed it to Donovan with an almost cheery "There you go, one of the best damned cigars this side of Chicago. And truthfully, I also agree with young Donovan. We leave as soon as possible." Walking over to the car, casting an agravated glance at Gray as he went, he sat down in one of the rear passenger's seats in an attempt to hurry the whole process along. "If it's at all possible Mr Burnt, I wish to stop at a particular location before leaving this city. If and when is entirely up to you."

[[Be forewarned: my W key is pseudo-broken so if there are places that don't make sense or are misspelled, just fill in the blanks, k?]]
Jill was going to let Donny have the cigar (after all, he deserved it, and none of them were gonna live that long anyway), but the minuscule boy with a giant cigar dangling from his lips was just too ridiculous. Suppressing a giggle she snatched it away, bit off the end like a pro, and lit it for herself. Then she shot Donny a mock evil glare when it looked like he would protest.
That's when Tanjuu turned on his heel and made to get in the car. She crossed the distance between them rapidly and grabbed the tall man by the shoulder.
“Wait just a goddam minute,” she bit off the words, hoping to sound a lot more confident than she felt. “What do you mean, a particular location? Care to elaborate for me?”

Setsuna looked first at the mother then over at the man she was restraining. "Yeah, where the heck do you want to go?" He stood up, stuffing hands into his pockets, "Though, if the rest of you don't ind, perhaps he could explain on the move." He glanced around warily, the siren song was getting louder, the tug becoming a slight pull now. "Personally, I don't know about you peeps, but I feel safer somewhere I can't hear that bitch."
He moved the the back seats of his car, bending over and tugging at something. Over his shoulder he spoke to the group in general, "Whoever sits in the back gets to hold my personal Shinigami." Cradled in his arms was a 40 pound, 12.7mm, anti-material rifle. Sadly, with it being the civilian model, its clips size was restricted to five rounds and the action was a standard bolt.
(( Before you flame me for this, my uncle has one. Its real, and its a bitch to lug around. Plus, the muzzle flare and air compression from firing it makes your eyes feel like you just swallowed them. So its not a gun he will fire often, and to make a note on the twin MP-9s, He only as two clips each, making them useless in extended firefights. ))
"And no, its not as impressive as it looks." He eyed the teen with the baseball bat, "Though I do think you own it a thank you for that leach problem you had." The Siren cried again, messing with his head. "Can we peace the fuck out? Everyone is here right?" He was still shifting nervously, even with the death machine in his hands. Being outside his car made Setsuna feel vulnerable.

Gray remained where he was, looking at at the others. He didn't want to go with them. He really didn't trust Tanjuu and Setsuna. Setsuna had too many guns to be trusted and Tanjuu had a certain "look" he threw around all too ofter for Gray to think he was good guy. He turned and headed toward the double doors that lead to the inside of the building who's parking lot they were in. He turned and gave them a final glance over the shoulder before kicking one of the metal school-door-esque handles.
It didn't budge.
Gray sighed with irritation and turned, "Hey, Speed, drop me off when you get to the bottom, ok, bro?" He tapped his baseball bat against his shoulder and sauntered over to the car. He threw the front door open and slung himself into the car.
"Fuck this shit."
He sighed and crossed his legs, slamming his bat into the floor of the car and resting his elbow on the tip. He looked to the ones still standing outside the car and motioned impatiently, "C'mon, guys. I gotta go find a new place... now that you've fuckin' blown up my house and burned all my shit." He glowered at his reflection in the rear-view mirror before huffing agrivatedly and looking out the window, cheek in his palm.

Gillian slid into the remaining passenger seat and pulled Donny over her, into the middle seat. She felt like her control was slowly slipping away. It hadn't been an hour and already people were sniping at each other.
She narrowed her eyes at the back of Gray's skull. Either he was being an ass for no good reason, or he knew something that she didn't about the other two. And neither of those scenarios could possibly be good. Not to mention, there was no guarantee that he would tell her if something fishy was up. He could very well see it as himself against the world, in which case he would tell her jack shit.
Dear God, just what I need. It was in her best interest to stick with the only other rational human beings she had met so far. But at this point, she wasn't even sure who qualified.
Stabbing her finger at the map, she made the decision for them. “Grant Park,” she ordered Setsuna. “We can get food and gasoline just outside the park, and we can hole up in what's left of the Best Western. And if there are other survivors, their first thought is going to be to head toward the landmarks.”
[[Grant Park is a real place, and there actually is a Best Western there.]]

Setsuna nodded over the back of his seat, "Can do." He looked the rst of his passengers in the eye. "A bit of knowledge for everyone. I am going to do what Jill here says. I trust her to keep our asses safer than any of you pukes." He gave each of them a hard stare. "Why you might ask, because she has more than her own life to fight for, she had real motivation. If you're now down with that, you can hop out now."
He shifted back into his seat, one hand on the steering wheel, one on the shift nob. He wasn't going anywhere till everyone either confirmed that they understood his choice and accepted it, or got out. The siren song still played in the back of his head, muffled now through the car's tinted windows, but there none the less. Kirios frowned, something like that might cause those who resented his decision to remain with them, even if they didn't really want to. He would have to be wary for now. Especially of that kid beside him. He didn't look to happy.
Looking back over his shoulder again he made eye contact with the mother, "How far is the Best Western? And If it is populated, I can only take one more in here. So, we best hide the car and walk up to hotel."

It had appeared that everyone had plain given up on finding out where he needed to go, so he kept his trap shut and simply sat back in the seat. It was close enough to the Best Western so that if shit hit the fan as they say, there was only a few kilometres to another safe location. And he resented the comment about them being 'pukes.' Sure, just because I didn't knock up somebody and end up with a kid, that makes me the scum of the earth eh?
Gray's anger was something Tanjuu could understand in a way, having someone break into your stronghold and let in the masses would agravate you. But acting like a angsty teen isn't very practical. If anything, it would only serve to piss everyone else off and make Gray's death a bit more joyful.
Gazing out the tinted window, Tanjuu swore he could see a glimpse of the siren, but kept his mouth shut and simply put his MP3 headphones back in.

“Hey, check out that blonde chick,” Donny exclaimed, leaning over Tanjuu and hanging out the window. “Pretty hot, huh? Think she needs our ass-kicking skills?”
He squirmed a bit, trying to get a better look as the car spiraled around to the next level of the parking deck.
[[Nuff said. I'm tired of bickering and want to kick some more ass! Or start a new campaign where they have to clear out the hotel perhaps? Thoughts on this?]]

((Haha, all you want to do if fight, eh 'Cole?))
Gray looked at Kiros severly, "You guys can walk into a crowded death trap of a hotel-- but me, no thanks." He looked over his shoulder at Donovan and grinned, pointing his finger at the kid like a gun, "Keep your cock down kid, that bitch would eat you alive."
Gray realized that he was leaving out Tanjuu, "Yo." He assumed the man would know the next comment was aimed at him, "Sorry for making fun of your name, bra. I know it's of Japanese ancestory or some shit. I was just pissed. Still pissed." He looked to Jill and reached back, smacking her with the back of his index and middle finger, "At you for fucking me."
He laughed, this one a little less "fuck you" a little more "ok, let's be friends". He whisteled a few notes and then shut up, knowing that someone was going to kick him in the teeth if he continued. It was then that he decided to get serious.
"Look guys. I'm sorry I was all pissy back there. I'm normally not a whiny little bitch. I'm just pissed that all my stuff is gone. Pictures of my family, my jacket, my brother's watch, my favorite pair of shoes, my backpack full of supplies... all gone, friends." He paused and sighed, resting his elbow on the armrest and looking out the window, "I'm fucking hungry too. I don't think we should head to the park- too open. And the hotel- too crowded. My vote is we go somewhere big and open... where we can get a good look at the city and see everything coming our way." He stopped and tought for a moment before it dawned on him, "Dudes... The Sears Tower!" He turned excitedly and grinned at those around him, "Right!? Right!?"

Setsuna slowed slight looking the teen, Grey, in the eyes, "I though you just said -not- crowded. Think of how many people probably had the same idea you just did." He chewed on his cheek lightly, a smile teasing the corner of his lips. "Not to rain on your parade. Though you do have a point. I don't personally feel like clearing out a building room by room. I ain't built for it."
He flashed a more or less friendly look over his shoulder at Jill, "That map of yours have any plan 'C' destinations on it?"

Although it was hard, Donny pulled his eyes away from the blonde woman, and rested his hand on Gray's shoulder. “Dude, I'm sorry,” he said, “My family's all gone too.” Jill poked him hard in the side, and he crossed his eyes and stuck out his tongue. “You're not a mom, moms are all fat ladies who go to PTA meetings. You're my man Friday!”
Jill crossed her arms and huffed, “No way, D. I'm the hero, you're the sidekick, me Crusoe, you Friday, deal with it!”
Ignoring her, and ignoring the general rule not to screw with the driver, he tugged Setsuna's hair. "How 'bout that Shinigami?" Now that they were on their way, he was restless and full of adrenaline.
Then, without waiting for an answer, Donny sat back down and mimed putting on his thinking cap. First things first. To his mind, there were 5 requirements for a trustworthy shelter:
1) Security. Duh. No more than 2 or 3 entrances so that they could keep them all guarded, but there had to be a back door so they could jet if trouble came knocking. 2) Food, at least semi-nearby. Donny would kill for some Jack-In-The-Box or Taco Hell right about now. 3) Close to the city for supply runs, far enough away that most zombie hordes were likely to pass them by. 4) In the opposite direction of the siren they kept hearing. He wasn't ready to deal with that screeching bitch just yet. 5) A decent view. This could maybe go under security, but also he had never been to Chicago before and wanted to see more than just the shitty parts of town.
“Dudes, I've got it!” he exclaimed. “Let's hit the Planetarium!”

"Planetarium?" That last word seemed to knock Tanjuu out of his musical indulgence and back to reality. Whipping out the MP3 earplug, he briefly began to rummage his pockets for the item he hoped that he'd held on to.
Eventually whisking it out and holding it up to his eye, he eagerly wished to present his prize. It was indeed a small item, a key. If the Planetarium was the one Tanjuu was thinking about, then this key would grant them access through the back entrance of the museum. Courtesy of the young janitor, who was more than willing to forgo it after being rescued.
Looking closely at it, he tried to find the small engraving that would authenicate it, with little success. He handed it to Donovan regardless, meybe he could find it.

Gray looked back at Donovan and grinned, "Spot on, little dude." He reached back best he could and ruffled the kid's hair.
"Do you know where that is? I've been here a while and I don't recall seeing it. And believe you me... I've done a shit ton of running around."
He turned and faced forward, watching the sun sink in the sky. He didn't like thinking about how this meant that they were going to be out at night. For Gray, six o'clock meant that he wasn't allowed to leave his cubicle until the next day. His green eyes picked up the orange glow of the sunset as he gazed to his left at Kirios. He didn't particularly care for the man, but the more he thought about it, the more it made since to stay with him. He smiled contently and crossed his legs at the knee and leaned back in his seat.
